Is transportation included?

Smart Travels are completely customizable. You can choose which experiences to include (even none!), your preferred accommodation, and whether to add car rental.

Can I choose the excursions and experiences I want?

Absolutely! Some packages include or suggest certain experiences. You can keep them, remove them, or add others as you like. Only the experiences that define the package's character are usually non-removable. However, if you contact us, we’ll be happy to create a tailor-made Smart Travel experience for you.

Can I modify the duration of the Smart Tour?

The travel ideas available online have fixed durations. However, upon your request, we can prepare a personalized version of the tour for your preferred length of stay.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

To ensure a smooth and automated purchasing experience, we only accept payment by card.

Can I modify the trip after booking?

Of course! Your travel consultant will be available before and during the trip to make any adjustments you deem necessary. Keep in mind that each service in the package has its own cancellation policy, so be aware that some services may be non-modifiable or non-refundable at the time of the modification request.

What’s the difference between Private Tours and Shared Tours?

Private tours are organized with a guide exclusively for you, providing a more immersive experience. Shared tours are shared with a small group (usually 5-8 people). Shared tours are less expensive, but you’ll need to adapt to the guide’s schedule, and the service may not offer the same level of customization.

Will someone meet me at the airport upon arrival?

If you book a transfer, your driver will be waiting for you upon arrival. Keep in mind that Smart Travels are not group tours. There won’t be a guide escorting you throughout your stay, nor will you be on a bus with others or follow a predefined itinerary. Smart Travel is designed for you to enjoy solo, as a couple, with family, or friends. You’ll create your itinerary and activities based on your preferences, with expert recommendations from local professionals. You’ll receive all the necessary directions to reach the locations in your package and, if desired, the means to get there. Additionally, we’ll be available at all times through a dedicated phone line for any assistance.

Are the tours on fixed dates?

No, you are free to choose your preferred dates, subject to hotel availability and the availability of desired services.

Where do I pick up the rental car or motorbike?

Before payment, you can choose where to pick up and return your vehicle.

What is the name of the rental company?

The name of the rental company will be indicated on the voucher you’ll receive along with your travel documents after booking confirmation.

Can I pick up the vehicle at one airport and return it at another?

You can find all the relevant details in the terms and conditions of each rental company, visible during the booking process.

Why is a credit card required to rent a car or motorbike?
A credit card (American Express, Visa, or Mastercard) is required for vehicle rental. A security deposit will be blocked at the start of the rental and released at the end if the vehicle is returned without damage. The deposit amount varies depending on the vehicle category and any Superkasko insurance coverage (see rental terms). With Superkasko insurance, the deposit may also be paid in cash.
How can I modify or cancel the package?

Changes to your trip, as well as cancellations, can only be made in agreement with Destination Italia and are subject to hotel availability. Modifications and cancellations are subject to penalties and administrative fees as outlined in the contract terms, payable by credit card at the time of the request.

How will I receive the vouchers?

After booking confirmation, you will receive a summary email with a link to access all your vouchers and travel documents.

Can I book hotels that are not shown on the map?

The map only displays properties available for the dates you’ve selected. If a property isn’t visible, it means it is unavailable for those dates.
